Durability & Resistance

Opalit® is a sheet made from polyester resin; a gelcoat finish to both sides ensures excellent resistance in corrosive environments. Opalit® can be adapted to suit any structure and reduces heat build-up in indoor areas. Different corrugated profiles are available.

► Installation recommendations

• The maximum separation between purlins should be determined for each profile. Never should be bigger than 1,50m.
• The diameter of the screw hole should be around 2mm bigger than the shaft of the screw.
• Projections should not exceed 200 mm.
• Lateral overlaps must be against the direction of the wind and rain.
• Do not step directly on the sheets.
• Recommended minimum slopes are between 10 and 15%.
• The fasteners should be self-drilling or self-tapping screws.
